INTRODUCTION

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour, in essence, why people feel, think, and act the way that they do. The Psychology Department offers courses to acquaint students with theory and research in the diverse areas of study examined by academic psychologists, including Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Physiological Psychology (Neuroscience), Organizational Psychology, and Forensic Psychology. Students are also exposed to laboratory methods of investigation. These programs prepare students for further study in psychology and related fields, for example, education, speech pathology, law, business, and human services.
